MUSIC NOT POLITICS TOWN HALL MEETING
What is a town hall meeting? Well it’s a question and answer session with you, yes YOU and all of you who are interested in getting more involved or staying involved in the live music community or just wanna know what your favorite musician’s favorite food is. Although we have designed these monthly meetings with the fans in mind, we welcome musicians and venue owners to attend and be involved.
The meetings will consist of a panel comprised of Throughthesewalls Moody, KevinMThomas Carpool and a guest . Guests are selected on a first come basis and anyone with any role within the music community or wanting a role within the music community is welcome to be a guest. If the guest is a musician the meeting will begin with a short performance by the guest musician; if the guest is anyone other than a musician the meeting will begin with a brief visual and/or verbal description of the guest’s services and or offerings to the music community. Following the introductory portion of the meeting our mediator Wurlitzer Seisenbacher (you may know him from the Friday Night Live Talk Show) will commence the question and answer session. The meeting will not be recorded by anyone involved in the meeting. This is not about getting publicity it is about getting more familiar with the music community needs and wants and developing a more intimate relationship with the folks who support live music.
Town Hall meetings are scheduled to last 90 minutes. Audience participation is unpredictable; we cannot guarantee everyone will have a chance to offer their questions. We suggest you drop a notecard on Wurlitzer Seisenbacher with your name the date of the meeting you will be attending and simply “I would like to ask a question”. There is no need to articulate your question in advance. Wurlitzer will make sure your name is on the list and you will be selected during the meeting to ask your question. If you are at a meeting and have a question you did not get to ask you can feel free to IM any of the panel directly following the meeting for an answer.
Our first meeting is scheduled for October 6, 2009 at 7pm with the special guest being Phemie Alcott. These meetings will all be held at the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Sim in one of their meeting buildings. The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system has shown amazing support to the music community and recently simulcasted on big screens our live performances in SL to the RL Minnesota State Fair. We applaud their involvement in the music community and are honored to partner with them on our Town Hall Meetings.

MAKE ME AN OFFER TOUR
We at MUSIC NOT POLITICS would like to take this chance to thank you for all you do. Without you, live music in SL could not flourish. You are a vital part of the success of the music industry, and we sincerely thank you for the investments you make, monetary or otherwise.
MUSIC NOT POLITICS is dedicated to allowing live musicians to express their talent in this world we call Second Life. We are steadily making an impact on the music industry, our original artists taking the grid by storm. Original music is quite unlike any other- it allows the listener to know the musician intimately. By releasing their original tunes, the artists are expressing a part of their soul. Live music lives, it breathes, it jumps up and grabs you. And this is the impact we strive to achieve at every supported show.
During these tough economic times, we realize it is becoming harder to maintain a successful venue. We have seen several long-running successful venues close their doors, simply because they cannot afford the costs associated with remaining in business. It is heartbreaking to see these events occur. That is why we are taking this opportunity to offer you the MAKE ME AN OFFER TOUR. Each of the established musicians below have agreed to be part of this tour and will consider all offers. Please contact me Throughthesewalls Moody if you are interested in booking any of these performers at your venue.
